Crafty Me
Why this? Why now?
All of my life I have found incredible joy in being creative, being curious and having hundreds of unfinished projects on the go. Getting busy with my own ideas and watching them come to life has always been somewhat mindful for me - a way of meditation - or great frustration, depending on the project.
I have found that throughout lockdown and now we are easing our way out of it that my 'projects' have been deeply beneficial to me. I have been able to focus my mind on getting something done, it massively improved my motivation as well and my mental wellbeing. I hope that by reading these posts I can help you to find something to help you switch off, or something that can help you while processing your thoughts.
Our time in lockdown has been lonely, no matter how many people in your house that is no doubt the case. However, the small business/ creative community is very far from distant. I have never felt such a boost from strangers, neighbours and everyone in between. Reach out to people. Speak to people. Share ideas with people. This is how we, as a community, can grow! Maybe these activities can be a way we share and meet new people. Pull up a chair and lets be friends!
At the end of all of my posts I will be encouraging everyone who tries a D.I.Y to not only tag me in it but also to use #happyhutmakes this way not only me, but other followers, friends and creators can find your work and be inspired by you.
Thank you for reading my very first post, I can't wait to see what this adventure will bring.
